Carving a niche for itself in the manufacturing sector

With the Indian manufacturing sector showing steady growth of revival over the past couple of years, there has been a rise in demand in the past couple of decades on a Y-O-Y basis. In their attempt to create a place for themselves on the global map of manufacturing, Cooper Corporation has introduced their products to the global audience across all the continents of the world. The company is a renowned manufacturer of genset, DG sets, engine and engine components. The company was earlier known as India’s renowned diesel engine manufacturer, which it diversified to gensets and engine components during the last few decades. The Satara based company has always been on the forefront of contemporary technology and has been supplying their products to a number of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and automotive companies across the globe. With a manufacturing legacy spanning over five decades, Cooper Corporation has set an example to its peers by integrating contemporary technology and integrating itself with the state-of the art technology.

State of the art technology for the manufacturing of engines

Manufacturing of engines is the one involving talent, technology and precision manufacturing. Engines are made to suit the various needs and applications be it, for the use of passenger vehicles, heavy vehicles, marine technology, generators, infrastructure etc. Integration of the company systems with the contemporary technology is a must. High performance engines define efficiency and performance effectiveness as a result of which they can be used for a wide range of applications such as those of Cooper engines. The company is among the first to be certified by the Automotive Research Association of India-the ARAI to develop the range of engines that comply with the new mass emission norms that are certified by the CPCB-the Central Pollution Control Board of India.
All in all, we known that Cooper engines speak tonnes on efficiency, they are also designed to be compliant with the environmental norms so as to contribute to a greener and a cleaner future. Cooper engines are 40% lighter, occupies 25% lesser volume and competent and dynamic in operation. The range of engines comprises of 2 cylinders, 3-4-5- and 6 cylinder engines that are made to suit various applications. The engines are available in diesel and natural gas-LPG, CNG variants of engines that comply with the Euro IV and CPCB regulations.

Precision technology defines the engine components
Engine components is one of the key elements of the Cooper portfolio that comprises of generators and engines as well. Flywheels, Cylinder liners, crankshafts, pistons are some of the key components manufactured by Cooper. Almost 70% of the components used at the Cooper foundry are manufactured indigenously. 50% of the total revenues generated by the company are through the sales of engine components. They form a substantial portion of the Cooper portfolio and revenues. While the components can be used for a wide range of purposes and applications, they have found specific use in some areas such as marine and automotive segment.

Regular power supply where there is irregular supply of power
Deficit of power is a norm in the country we live in. Intermittent power supply, shortage of power has led to the launch of genset in both their diesel and natural gas versions. Known for compact design and low maintenance, Cooper generators are known for performance efficiency and silent technology. This range of Cooper genset is available in 10 KVA to 250 KVA generators-all of which are made to suit various applications such as marine and agriculture, infrastructure, retail and domestic use among others. With time and demand for environment friendly generators, natural gas generators in LPG and CNG variants have been launched. It is not just clean air but the silent technology that it embraces. All in all, Cooper generators contribute significantly not just for making up for the power deficit, but also to the healthy living space around us.
